Ondrej Lapides, CEO at Tom Hron Gaming caught up with, an affiliate network focusing primarily on the Swedish market, to discuss the supplier’s gaming products, whilst providing a sneak peek at what lies behind the company’s success and what interesting game releases we can expect from Tom Horn Gaming in the coming weeks.


Q: Hi Ondrej, thanks for taking the time to talk to us at Gamblorium! You’ve had a very successful year so far, what motivates you to keep going and wanting to become one of the bigger developers in the industry?

Tom Horn Gaming has been enjoying a heady ride during the past few years. We have enhanced our product pipeline, adding more titles with new mechanics and features to our game road map as well as diversifying our product portfolio with exclusive partner content. These moves have spurred impressive growth and our games enjoy huge popularity among players.

We have a great team of igaming enthusiasts, who constantly innovate our games. Watching their passion and determination to expand their knowledge and urge to perform well when they are challenged is one of the most rewarding moments. It always reminds me that what we do matters.

Trust of our partners is another huge constant in our success and a driving force behind everything we do. Seeing our partners’ trust in ourselves is of paramount importance. We do things we enjoy and by practising them naturally, we become better and deliver products which bring value to our customers, entertainment to our players and have potential on the global impact. 


Q: What would you say is your biggest accomplishment at Torm Horn to date?

Firstly, I am extremely proud of Tom Horn Gaming delivering exciting games for more than 15 years and still going from strength to strength. During these years, we have gone a long way. We have implemented many changes, transforming the very structure and set up of Tom Horn from a hierarchy-based company to a dynamic working organism that thrives on a collaborative, open-minded approach and transparency.  We transformed not only how we work but also our mind-set and who we are, driving differentiation not only to our product development but also to our company culture, including values and people management. I can proudly say that we’re competitive not only from the perspective of innovative products, but also as a workplace that attracts the best talent in the igaming industry. This is a huge accomplishment!


Q: What do you think is the most important thing to consider when it comes to producing games?

Game development is a complex process. It takes many months and many talented people across many teams to collaborate before we can see a game in casino lobbies.

The process doesn’t include only the ‘funny’ creative stuff. It is preceded by thorough market research, deep dive into player preferences and changing gambling habits. Data collected is examined and informed by these insights our game producers come up with concepts that they believe will best resonate with players. 

Obviously, there are tried-and-tested approaches, which we use as well. To push the boundaries of game development, innovate and expand the slot vertical, one must, however, take daring steps and often jump into the unknown to bring forward ground-breaking gaming concepts. Not every attempt is a success. We learn from our mistakes and overcome new challenges as we push for engaging and innovative games. 


Q: Can you give us a sneak peek into what we could expect from Tom Horn in the coming months?

Our Q4 road map is packed with exciting new tiles, including 2 seasonal games. We have launched our Halloween-themed game Book of Vampires on 25 October. I’m really excited about this release as it provides a darker, gothic take on a popular genre of vampire-themed slot games. The game is enhanced with vampire wilds with up to x5 multiplier, a shatter mode with upgrading paylines and free spins with a special expanding symbol selected at the beginning of the bonus round. Players can amass spine-chilling wins of up to x19,291.5 their total bet. Pretty scary, isn’t it ?  :) November will see the release of  a classic fruit slot Rot Stormo, which will certainly make many players’ hearts sing. We will round off the year with a Christmas edition of our hugely popular game 243 Crystal Fruits. The usual suspects - crystal fruits and 243 Wild symbol return, but this time they get a new, festive makeover, including some new exciting add-ons in the gameplay. A lot to look forward to!
